This website November 2024

Hello and welcome to this website. I just made it. I took some inspiration from one of the course websites of a course I'm currently taking.

LAN? Aw, man! April 2024

Me and my cousin hosted a LAN party and made a music video. See it below or on youtube. This was actually a pretty quick and effective project. Felix built and planned the minecraft recordings while I was in charge of music and the video. Originally I wrote not just the rap but the verses for Felix as well. If I redid it I would have transposed the music down one or two halfsteps.

Toilet Tiktok November 2023

One of my first actual VFX shots (other than simple rotoscoping and motion tracking). I noticed this perfectly iPhone-sized depression in the sink in one of the bathrooms at my campus and instantly saw the possibility to make this VFX shot. I was on my way home but ran back to my study buddy and asked to borrow his phone, thanks Johan! Blender Compositing Graph This is what the composition node graph looked like. If you're interested in how I did it send me an email. The basic idea is to take the recording of the phone and place it on the phone screen, then take that video and place it on the phone screen. I then iterated this about 15 times to get the original image so small as to not be visible in the final shot. Everything in the upper dark box is creating one of the glares on the phone and everything in the lower dark box creates the other glare. Blender Motiontracking This is what the original footage and motion tracking looked like. Notice I also had to motion track the glares.

Chalmersspexet December 2022 - December 2023

I was in charge of writing and selecting the music for an amateur comedy musical which went on to have around 10 shows during spring and autumn of 2023. We also went on tour to Halmstad, Stockholm and Helsinki.

Original Song Our Title Description
The Chicken Ouvertyr Overture. The band played the main theme once, then took turns soloing. It was a good way to put a spotlight (literally) on the instrumentalists as sometimes they are a bit under appreciated.
I'm a Believer Hurra för den nya drottningen The new queen of England, Elisabeth I, has just been crowned and is excited to start ruling the empire... or is she? My other contender for this song would have been "Story of My Life" by Social Distortion. I chose this song partly because everyone knows it so it's a fun song to start with but in hindsight I kind of regret not going with a song I like more.
That's Life Té havs Francis Drake's introduction. One of my favourite songs this year, I love the choreography and score. For the encore of this song I rewrote Gabriellas Sång into a power ballad about eating liver to avoid scurvy.
Hold the Line Bryt ett ben (Love ?) duet between Shakespeare and her inept assistant/ex lover Libby. Contains a reference to the swedish song Satellit which then became one of this song's encores.
Vad har du i fickan, jan? Var är drottningen? Duet between the queen's right hand Kat and her BFF Drake. I really love this choreography and the chemistry Humla (Kat) and Pling (Drake) have on stage.
Minnie the Moocher Snart är det jag som är ond Every musical has to have a villain song, right? I really wanted to get the audience engaged in this song but I wasn't totally successful. I think me and the director(s) should have worked together a bit to make it more obvious that the audience was supposed to respond in the "call-and-response" part.
Play that funky music Byggare Bacon This is the crazy inventor Bacon's song wherein he is pressured by the evil couple to do their biddings and automate EVERYTHING. The lyrics are a commentary on the over-automation and AI-ification of the modern world but I don't think the message came across that well.
In the Hall of the Mountain King/Everybody Aktfinal This mashup is one of mine and Mimer's (director of chalmersspexet '22 and '23) best ideas. I remember laying in bed thinking about a couple of songs they had suggested before coming up with the epic transition from the final BUM-BUM in ItHotMK to the first "All right!" in Everybody.
Dancing with the Moonlit Knight Trubbel-i-dur Wilma Shakespeare comes out alone on stage and sings about the turmoils that have fallen upon England. I just had to include at least one English prog rock song. Not the most well-known song by any means but a lot of people have really shown appreciation towards it's inclusion. Probably the best of these songs.
Måndagsbarn/17 år Manhattankval Francis Bacon is torn between doing what's right and making a buttload of cash. Classic engineering problems.
Summer Nights Hur man störtar två tyranner Two groups of good guys both come up with ingenious plans to take down Orwen and Libby, unfortunately these plans don't gel all too well. This is the song I regret choosing the most, it just didn't really come together. The main reason I chose this song is because I came up with the line(s) "Vilken grej, du är ett geni!/En så'n natt för högförräderi!"
American Dream/Afternoon Deligh Bloody Marypella Me and Fröken (head of production) worked a lot on the acapella. I went through a lot of concepts for what the lyrics would be about. An early draft was "drinking a Bloody Mary" being a metaphor for eating out someone on their period. This verion contained the lyrics "Blod runt hela min mun, ivrig som en hund." Understandably, we took it in a different direction. In hindsight I might've gone for a different song to base it upon. My original thoughts were either "Visa i molom", "Visa till Katarina" or "Ievan Polkka".
O fortuna Staketet Our heroes come to Drake's rescue but alas, they are too late! We wanted to have the most dramatic song we could find to juxtapose with the tiny fence they were up against. Maybe Dies Irae would have been better but who knows.
I want you back Finalfinal Absolute banger song. Go out with a bang you know. This was a great choice for last song as it had the entire audience clapping and the entire crew dancing in the wings.

Player Spotlight: MR. KING November 2021

LAGGAN was doing a smash tournament, and while I don't have any particular smash skills I fancy myself a somewhat skilled vidoe creator so I made this jokey esports style player spotlight.

Gymnasiearbetet Maj 2017

Have you ever felt you wanted to sleep for longer? Heck yeah! Have you ever felt you wanted to stay up later? No duh! Well then 24 hours per day is just plain too few, right?

Small print: this schedule will eventually drive one stark raving mad
Relevant XKCD

In Sweden, every high schooler has to to a term-spanning project on basically any subject of your choosing. People I know have written about the psychology of being a middle child, sewage water pollution in the channels of central Malmö, making their own Weasley Clock and the shapes of snow flakes. I got the idea to try living according to a 28-hour day from an XKCD and my friend Pontus was up to join me! I moved in with Pontus in his tiny 22 m² apartment where we lived together for 7 weeks. We begun with three control weeks, followed by a week of converting to the 28 hour day, and then finally three weeks of 28 hours per day. Every hour we would write down in a note how tired we were on a scale of 1-10, and I designed, printed and laminated two cards with said scale.

Karolinska Sleepiness Scale
Said Scale

Our results were mixed. Basically it kinda sucked because, to our dissappointment, not everyone else was in on it. As our day was 4 hours "too long" it would be offset further by 4 hours for every passing day. This would mean on saturdays and sundays we would sleep all day and be up all night. Not in the fun "go to sleep at five in the morning" way, but in the awful "get up at eight and go to sleep at two in the afternoon" way. Unlike in the XKCD, our school was not flexible and we had to totally adapt our sleep schedule to try and fit it together with our studies. All in all it was not horrible, and I've often thought about doing it again. Surely it would work better this time?
